The draw for the Fifth Round proper of the 2012/13 FA Cup with Budweiser will be shown live on ITV this Sunday, January 27.
One of competition’s most famous giant-killings will be remembered when Kevin Ratcliffe and Nigel Jemson make the all-important Fifth Round draw at Wembley Stadium.
Ratcliffe had made his name as captain of Everton and Wales, lifting The Cup for the Toffees at Wembley in 1984, but he was in the dugout as manager of Shrewsbury Town when his old Merseyside club visited Gay Meadow in the Third Round a decade ago this month
It was Nigel Jemson, a journeyman striker in the twilight of his career, who scored both goals as the then Third Division outfit dumped David Moyes and a teenage Wayne Rooney out of The Cup.
Jemson opened the scoring after half-an-hour with a free-kick from the edge of box before Everton sub Niclas Alexandersson got the Premier League side on level terms after 60 minutes.
Rooney almost won it for Everton with a sizzling shot from 20 yards but it was Jemson who had the final say when he headed home an Ian Woan cross with just two minutes remaining.
Radcliffe and Jemson will conduct the draw alongside presenter Mark Pougatch at approximately 5.45pm on Sunday, immediately following ITV’s live coverage of Oldham Athletic v Liverpool.
