Hibs earned their place in the semi-finals with a dramatic 4-2 victory over Kilmarnock, grabbing two decisive goals in the last ten minutes of the match.
The Edinburgh club haven’t won the trophy in more than a century and will be hoping for the chance to banish memories of last year’s final, where they suffered a painful 5-1 thrashing at the hands of fierce rivals Hearts.
Falkirk’s young squad ran Celtic close at this stage of the competition last year and newly-appointed manager Gary Holt will be hoping to cause an upset in his very first match in charge.
The first division side are the only non-SPL team left in the competition and beat Hamilton Academical to make it to the penultimate hurdle.
The game will be screened live on both BBC One Scotland and Sky Sports.
BBC Scotland’s coverage will be presented by Rob Maclean with expert analysis from Pat Nevin and Peter Houston. Commentary will be provided by Liam McLeod and Craig Paterson.
David Tanner will introduce Sky Sports’ coverage and Ian Crocker will lead the commentary team.
Viewers outside Scotland can watch the action live via the BBC Sport website, while BBC Radio Scotland will provide commentary.
On Sunday, Hampden plays host to the pick of the semi-finals as Dundee United take SPL champions-elect Celtic in this all-top flight tie.
Neil Lennon’s side have suffered a number of semi-final defeats at Hampden in recent seasons, most recently to St Mirren in the League Cup.
They will be keen to avoid another against Jackie McNamara’s side who are looking to repeat their own cup triumph of 2010.
United triumphed over local rivals Dundee in the last round, but now face a tough test against the Scottish Premier League’s runaway leaders.
Celtic, who last won the competition two years ago, have lifted the trophy more times than any other club and will be keen to add this year’s cup to a likely SPL title.
David Tanner will present Sky Sports’ exclusive coverage of this second semi-final, with Ian Crocker leading the commentary team.
Free-to-air highlights of the gae will shown in the evening on BBC One Scotland’s Sportscene at 10.25pm, presented by Rob Maclean with guest Barry Robson and commentary from Alasdair Lamont and Billy Dodds.
