CYCLING: Tour of Britain 2012 – Live on ITV4

Some of the world’s top cyclists return to Great Britain to tackle the demands of the 2012 Tour of Britain, and fans can watch live coverage of the event for the very first time on ITV.

Following on from an unprecedented summer of success for British cycling, the Tour of Britain promises to round off a sensational summer of sport in the UK with Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins and world road race champion Mark Cavendish spearheading Team Sky’s line-up.

Every stage will be shown live on television for the first time in the event’s history, with ITV4 screening comprehensive coverage across all eight days.

LONDON 2012: Olympics Watch – Monday 6th August

Following an outstanding weekend for British athletes across a variety of Olympic disciplines, the action continues into the second week with more gold medal prospects for the host nation.

Reigning 400m hurdles world champion Dai Greene gets the chance to add Olympic gold to his collection, but he has a huge task on his hands to add Olympic gold after scraping into the final with the seventh-fastest time.

LONDON 2012: Olympics Watch – Thurs 2nd August

LONDON 2012: Olympics Watch – Tues 31st July

London 2012 enters its fourth day of competition and there is plenty to enjoy from a British perspective throughout the day.

Forty years have passed since GB last won team eventing gold, but this is their strongest team in generations. The team final begins at 10.30am on BBC One with the individual final, where British hopes are also high, to follow.

William Fox-Pitt (above) will be a strong contender in the individual final, with German Michael Jung is aiming to achieve an unprecedented hat-trick – by winning the World, European and Olympic titles in the same year.

LONDON 2012: Olympics Watch – Sunday 29th July

After an excellent start to London’s Olympic Games on day one, the action continues apace with five more sports joining  in the Olympic party on day two.

Will Great Britain’s swimming sensation Rebecca Adlington be lining up a gold medal in the pool?

If she makes it through the morning heats, the two-time Olympic champion will defend her 400m Freestyle title in the evening, live on BBC One at 8.15pm.
