EQUESTRIAN: Badminton Horse Trials 2013 – Live on BBC Sport

An all-star entry list featuring world champions and London 2012 Olympians heads up the field for the 2013 Badminton Horse Trials, one of equestrian sport’s showpiece events.

Anticipation is higher than ever this year after the famous event was cancelled last year because heavy and persistent rain in the weeks prior to the event left the famous Gloucestershire venue flooded.

BBC Sport will have all the key action from the final two days of the 2013 event, fronted by Clare Balding, including live coverage of the closing cross country and jumping disciplines.

EQUESTRIAN: London International Horse Show 2012 – Live on BBC TV & British Eurosport

The BBC and British Eurosport will be providing extensive coverage of the London International Horse Show as it celebrates the 40th anniversary since its reintroduction at Olympia.

Billed as the world’s top equestrian Christmas party, the show will welcome more than 80,000 fans to witness a mix of world-class dressage and show jumping, plus a variety of festive entertainment and special equestrian displays.

This year’s event marks the 40th year since this prestigious event was reintroduced by the late Raymond Brooks-Ward, the BBC’s distinguished former voice of equestrian sport, to Olympia in the 1970s.

LONDON 2012: Olympics Watch – Thurs 9th August

Thursday promises great action across a broad range of events, starting in Hyde Park’s Serpentine lake at midday when Great Britain’s Keri-Anne Payne takes on the marathon swim.

Each entrant will swim six laps of the course as they aim to win the Olympic title, with Payne among the favourites to claim gold, having finished second four years ago in Beijing, where the event made its debut in the Games.

LONDON 2012: Olympics Watch – Tuesday 7th August

More medals are expected to roll in for Great Britain on day eleven of the Games, including three big finals with outstanding British hopes bring track cycling to a conclusion inside the Olympic Velodrome.

But Tuesday’s number one highlight for Team GB could come in Hyde Park from 11.30am, where triathlon’s wonder brothers Alistair and Jonny Brownlee finally take part in the race they have been told they will win for years.
