The final lucrative place in the 2013/14 Barclays Premier League season will be claimed at Wembley Stadium as Crystal Palace take on Watford on Monday afternoon.

Ian Holloway’s Palace side eased past Brighton 2-0 over two legs in their semi-final and while Gianfranco Zola’s Watford reached Wembley through a thrilling 3-2 aggregate win over Leicester City.

Sky Sports will screen the match, worth a reported £120m to the winner, exclusively live on Monday, May 27, with free-to-air highlights in the evening on BBC One.

FOOTBALL: Capital One Cup 2012/13 – Semi Finals – Live on Sky Sports

The first major silverware of the season is still in the sights of four teams as the Capital One Cup semi-finals take place in January, with all the action live only on Sky Sports plus extensive terrestrial highlights on BBC One. 

Two teams will book their place at Wembley Stadium for the Capital One Cup final on February 24, with the first legs being played on January 8-9, followed by the second legs on January 22-23.

Sky Sports will show both legs from each semi-final tie exclusively live as League Two giant-killers Bradford City meet Aston Villa, while FA Cup and Champions League holders Chelsea clash with Swansea City.

FOOTBALL: Capital One Cup Quarter Finals – Live on Sky Sports

The first major silverware of the season is still in the sights of eight teams as the Capital One Cup quarter-finals take place, with two live games on Sky Sports and extensive terrestrial highlights on BBC Sport. 

Bradford City’s home tie with Arsenal on Tuesday, December 11, will be screened live on Sky Sports, as will Leeds United’s home clash with Chelsea on Wednesday, December 19, with highlights of all four ties in two seperate highlights shows on BBC One.

FOOTBALL: Sky Sports & ESPN confirm live Premier League games over festive period

More than 20 live Barclays Premier League games will broadcast on Sky Sports and ESPN over a bumper festive period for football fans.

All 20 teams in the division will be shown by either broadcaster at least once between December 1 and January 2, with the highlight being Manchester City’s clash with Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium on December 9, which will be shown exclusively live on Sky Sports.

In addition to its feast of live Premier League matches over Christmas, Sky Sports has also confirmed the next set of live npower Football League fixtures, with nine Championships matches set to be broadcast during December.

FOOTBALL: Sky Sports announces first set of live 2012/13 Football League games

Sky Sports has confirmed its opening set of live televised matches for the 2012/13 npower Football League season.

Cardiff City’s clash with newly-promoted Huddersfield Town has been selected as the opening TV fixture of the season on Friday, 17 August, and this will be the first of up to 75 Football League matches to be shown exclusively live throughout the campaign, including the Play-Offs and all three Play-Off finals from Wembley.

Sky have also announced their opening live games of the rebranded Capital One Cup, and they will screen two matches from the first round of the competition, which will take place a week before the opening game of the league season.

FOOTBALL: BBC agrees new Football League highlights deal

BBC Sport will continue to screen highlights of the Football League after securing a new three-year deal.

The agreement will see the corporation provide extensive highlights of the npower Football League, the League Cup and the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy until at least 2015.

The Football League Show will continue in its current hour-long Saturday night slot after Match of the Day on BBC One, and will feature all the goals, highlights and analysis from across all three divisions of the Football League throughout the season.

FOOTBALL: Sky Sports wins £195m Football League deal

The Football League has signed a three-year deal with Sky Sports, giving the broadcaster exclusive rights to show live matches from the 2012-13 season.

The deal, worth £195m, marks a drop from the current £264m agreement with Sky and the BBC.

The BBC loses its rights to live Championship and Carling Cup matches from 2012 onwards, saying that it had been unable to make a competitive bid for live broadcast rights.
