TENNIS: Eurosport signs deal to broadcast ATP Power Horse Cup

Eurosport has signed a three-year deal to screen the revamped ATP Power Horse Cup from 2013.

The pan-European broadcaster will show extensive live coverage of the tournament on its channels across 59 countries, including British Eurosport.

Formerly known as the Power Horse World Team Cup, the Düsseldorf outdoor clay court tournament is adopting a new format from 2013 by joining the ATP World Tour 250 series.

TENNIS: French Open 2012 – Live on ITV1 and ITV4

ITV Sport will be bringing viewers exclusive terrestrial coverage of the French Open, the most prestigious clay court event in the world and the second Grand Slam of the tennis season, starting on May 27.

It is the first time that ITV has screened a Grand Slam tournament, and the broadcaster will screen more than 150 hours of live coverage on ITV1 and ITV4.

John Inverdale will lead the network’s extensive coverage, and will be joined by a wealth of on-screen talent to bring the tournament to life over the course of the 15-day event.

TENNIS: ITV secures French Open rights

ITV will screen its first ever grand slam tennis tournament next year after acquiring the rights to the French Open.

In a landmark three-year deal with the French Tennis Federation, ITV will broadcast extensive live coverage from Roland Garros throughout the 15-day tournament, taking over from the BBC.
