HANDBALL: IHF Men’s World Championship 2013 – Watch online via LIVESPORT.TV

The 23rd IHF Men’s World Championship take place in Spain from January 11-27 and UK fans will be able to watch all the key games exclusively live via the online subscription service LIVESPORT.TV.

Handball’s top 24 teams from across the world will compete over 16 days to be crowned world champions, with the action starting on January 11 as hosts Spain take on Algeria.

London 2012 gold medal winners France won the last World Championship in Sweden two years ago after defeating Denmark in the final, while Spain won the bronze medal after defeating the hosts in the third place match.

HANDBALL: Premier Sports to broadcast EHF Champions League

Premier Sports has signed an agreement with the European Handball Federation (EHF) to broadcast this season’s Champions League competition to UK viewers.

The channel will show one match live or delayed in full every week from Europe’s premier club handball tournament, as well as an EHF-produced magazine and highlights show ‘Rewind – The Handball Show’ on Monday evenings.

LONDON 2012: Olympics Watch – Sunday 12th August

London 2012 reaches its final day of competition, with the remaining 14 of the 302 gold medals set to be decided.

British hopes for success on the last day will come from the concluding men’s boxing finals at the ExCel Arena.

Of the seven men Britain entered into the boxing competition, three qualified for the gold medal bouts of their respective weight classes, and today will see Freddie Evans compete in the welterweight division and Anthony Joshua in the super heavyweight class.

LONDON 2012: Olympics Watch – Sat 11th August

A week on from Great Britain’s golden hour on ‘Super Saturday’, Mo Farah returns to the scene of his greatest triumph in a bid to become a double Olympic champion.

He has already played his part in one of the greatest nights in British sporting history and he goes for a second Olympic gold medal in the 5,000m final at 7.30pm.

Great Britain also have strong medal hopes in the diving pool and in the boxing ring.

LONDON 2012: Olympics Watch – Thurs 9th August

Thursday promises great action across a broad range of events, starting in Hyde Park’s Serpentine lake at midday when Great Britain’s Keri-Anne Payne takes on the marathon swim.

Each entrant will swim six laps of the course as they aim to win the Olympic title, with Payne among the favourites to claim gold, having finished second four years ago in Beijing, where the event made its debut in the Games.

Among all the fairytales that Great Britain’s success at London 2012 seems to be throwing up by the day, the triumph of a fifty-something who have battled back from career-threatening injuries surely ranks among the most remarkable.

Nick Skelton (above), who at the age of 54 is competing in his sixth consecutive Olympic Games, drew on all his experience in a nerve-jangling jump-off to help deliver Great Britain’s first showjumping gold medal in 60 years at a euphoric Greenwich Park on Monday.
