RUGBY UNION: Aviva Premiership – Final round live games confirmed by ESPN & Sky Sports

ESPN and Sky Sports have announced their live match selections for the final round of the 2012/13 Aviva Premiership season.

Billed as ‘Super Saturday’, three games will shown on Saturday, May 4, with all of them set to play a role in deciding the semi-final line-up and the final Heineken Cup qualification place.

RUGBY LEAGUE: BBC and Premier Sports share 2013 Rugby League World Cup rights

BBC Sport and Premier Sports will share the rights to broadcast live coverage of the 2013 Rugby League World Cup to be held this Autumn across England and Wales.

The BBC will screen extensive free-to-air television coverage of the 2013 tournament, including live games and regular highlights. The corporation has also secured the rights to the 2017 World Cup (host TBC), plus TV coverage of the 2014 and 2016 Four Nations tournaments.

Subscription channel Premier Sports will screen all 28 games live from the 2013 tournament, which kicks off on Saturday, October 26 and represents the biggest international sporting event taking place in the UK during 2013.


FOOTBALL: Sky Sports and ESPN announce live Premier League games for May

Sky Sports and ESPN have announced their final set of live Barclays Premier League fixtures for the 2012/2013 season as another enthralling campaign reaches its climax in May.

Six games will be shown on Sky Sports during the closing days of the season, including key clashes for sides at both ends of the table.

ESPN will broadcast its final live Premier League game on Saturday, April 4, featuring relegation-threatened Queens Park Rangers against Arsenal at Loftus Road.

FOOTBALL: Sky Sports, ESPN and BBC Alba confirm live Scottish Premier League games for May

Sky Sports, ESPN and BBC Alba have announced the live Clydesdale Bank Scottish Premier League games that will be shown during the final month of the season.

All three broadcasters will bring the 2012/13 season curtain down with live coverage of key ‘post-split’ matches, including the Edinburgh derby and 12 other games.

With Celtic extremely close to securing their second successive SPL title, as well as UEFA European qualification places for next season very much on the agenda, every match has something to offer.

FOOTBALL: FA Cup 2012/13 – Semi Finals – Live on ITV & ESPN

World football’s oldest domestic cup competition reaches the semi-final stage as the road to Wembley towards FA Cup glory draws ever nearer for the four remaining sides in the competition.

ICE HOCKEY: Premier Sports picks up 2013 IIHF World Championships rights

The IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will be broadcast live on UK television for the first time in its history after Premier Sports agreed a deal to cover the 2013 tournament.

The subscription channel, which operates on the Sky platform, will show 20 games of the 2013 World Championships taking place in both Stockholm and Helsinki from May 3-19.

In addition, Premier Sports has acquired the rights to show all of Great Britain’s games in the second-tier IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division I Group A, which will be played in Budapest between April 14 and 21.

FOOTBALL: FIFA World Cup 2014 Qualifiers – March 22-26 – TV Guide

The road to next year’s FIFA World Cup in Brazil continues as the latest set of crucial qualifying matches take place over a busy period of international football from March 22-26.

England’s two away qualifiers against San Marino and Montenegro will be shown exclusively live on ITV, while the highly anticipated home nations clash between Scotland and Wales at Hampden Park is live on Sky Sports.
