GOLF: Masters Tournament 2013 – Live coverage on BBC Sport & Sky Sports

Golf’s finest go head-to-head for the coveted Masters green jacket at the majestic August National course and you can follow all of the action on Sky Sports and BBC Television.

All four days of the 2013 Augusta showpiece, which takes place April 11-14 – as well as the pre-tournament Par 3 contest – will be shown live on Sky Sports HD, with live free-to-air coverage of the final two rounds on BBC Two and BBC Two HD.

Fans will be hoping for a repeat of the nail-biting excitement of last year where American Bubba Watson ensured he was the man heading to the Butler Cabin to collect his green jacket after winning a nail-biting play-off against former Open champion Louis Oosthuizen.

NFL: Superbowl XXLVII – San Francisco 49ers @ Baltimore Ravens – Live on BBC Two & Sky Sports

The world will be watching on Sunday night when Super Bowl XLVII is contested at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, live on BBC Two and Sky Sports.

Baltimore Ravens will meet San Francisco 49ers in this year’s showdown after the 49ers defeated Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Championship match, while the Ravens beat New England Patriots in the AFC Championship finale.

The NFL’s climactic showpiece is always one the biggest events on the sporting calendar and this year’s game will be no exception, with New Orleans hosting the game for the first time since the city was ravaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

SPORTS VIEW: Chappers – From Radio 1 to MOTD2

Match of the Day 2 will be given a shake-up from the beginning of the 2013/14 season when Colin Murray hands over the presenting baton to 5 Live colleague Mark Chapman.

‘Chappers’ is regarded by BBC bosses as a more suitable host than Murray, who began anchoring the show in 2010 after Adrian Chiles left for ITV. The Northern Irishman often generates a tidal wave of negative opinion from football fans when the show airs on Sunday nights.

FOOTBALL: Mark Chapman to replace Colin Murray as Match of the Day 2 presenter

Colin Murray has been dropped by the BBC as presenter of Match of the Day 2 after three years in the role.

The Northern Irishman, who took over from Adrian Chiles after his defection to ITV in 2010, is set to be replaced at the end of the current Premier League season by Mark Chapman.

According to the Daily Mail’s Charlie Sale, Chapman is regarded by BBC bosses as a “more suitable host for a programme that increasingly features the most important Premier League matches of the weekend”.

FOOTBALL: FIFA Club World Cup matches to be shown on BBC TV

The BBC has secured a last-minute deal to broadcast the semi-finals and the final of the 2012 FIFA Club World Cup in Japan.

Featuring 2012 UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea, the annual tournament brings together the club champions from all six FIFA confederations.

Both semi-finals will be shown live on the Red Button and the BBC HD channel, with highlights of Chelsea’s semi-final match on BBC Two shortly after its conclusion.

The final will be shown exclusively live on BBC Two and BBC HD on Sunday, December 16.

RUGBY LEAGUE: BBC to broadcast Autumn International Triangular Series

The Rugby Football League (RFL) have agreed a broadcast deal with the BBC for live coverage of all four matches of the 2012 Autumn International Series.

Featuring England, France and Wales, the series provides an opportunity for all three competing nations to hone their preparations for Rugby League World Cup 2013 and will feature the best Rugby League players from the domestic competitions of Europe and Australia.

With the Four Nations tournament being rested until after the 2013 World Cup, the BBC have stepped in to secure the TV rights to this one-off triangular series after Sky reportedly declined to cover it.

FOOTBALL: ESPN announces 2012 FA Cup Final coverage

ESPN is to bring fans the every twist and turn of the 2012 FA Cup Final on May 5 between Chelsea and Liverpool in 3D and commercial-free as part of a full day of live programming from Wembley.

The broadcaster will continue to revive the tradition of broadcasting all day around the final of the world’s oldest domestic cup competition, with a host of dedicated programmes, documentaries and special live editions of the channel’s signature football shows.
