XMAS WATCH: Olympics 2012 – 50 Greatest Moments on BBC Three

BBC Three presents a fun, irreverent and uplifting countdown of the 50 greatest moments from the unforgettable and historic London 2012 Olympic Games on Monday, December 17, at 8.30pm.

Gabby Logan and Radio 1 presenter Greg James present the two-hour special, featuring contributions from those who made the headlines at this summer’s extravaganza, including gold medallists Usain Bolt, Jessica Ennis, Andy Murray and Mo Farah, as well as diving star Tom Daley.

Olympics 2012: 50 Greatest Moments will relive all the spectacular events, as well as some of the light-hearted ones, from the biggest sporting spectacle in our lifetime.

LONDON 2012: Olympic Games on the BBC

The countdown to the London 2012 Olympic Games is almost over as the world’s biggest sporting event arrives in the UK, and the BBC will be there to ensure that viewers will never miss a moment of this once-in-a-lifetime event.

After more than seven years in the making, London’s proud moment has finally arrived as the city welcomes more than 17,000 athletes and millions of spectators from across the UK and around the world for the greatest sporting show on earth.

The BBC will be out in force across all 17 days of Olympic competition, providing its most comprehensive and ambitious Olympic Games coverage ever.

LONDON 2012: BBC regional shows to follow Olympic Torch Relay

The BBC has announced details of its 14 live regional television specials that will follow the Olympic Torch Relay as it travels across the country, starting May 22.

The live half-hour ‘Olympic Torch Live’ programmes will be broadcast regionally on BBC One at 7.00pm, and hosted by a selection local presenters together with a mix of BBC Sport hosts and Olympians, including John Inverdale, Jonathan Edwards, Dame Kelly Holmes, Katharine Merry, Amy Williams and Sharron Davies.

LONDON 2012: BBC to provide 24 live Olympic TV streams via cable and satellite

The BBC has announced that it will make 24 live high-definition Olympic TV streams available to cable and satellite providers for this summer’s Olympic Games in London.

This announcements means that for the first time ever in the UK, millions of television viewers with cable or satellite TV will be able to watch every Olympic sporting event live from every venue.
