FORMULA 1: 2013 season on Sky Sports F1 HD – Everything you need to know

Sky Sports F1 will provide unrivalled coverage of the 2013 Formula 1 season, starting with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on March 15-17.

Now in its second full season, Sky’s dedicated Formula 1 channel will include live coverage of every practice session, qualifying session and race from each grand prix weekend.

Simon Lazenby will lead the Sky Sports’ comprehensive coverage of the entire season alongside some of the biggest names in F1 broadcasting, including Martin Brundle, Damon Hill, Johnny Herbert, David Croft and Ted Kravitz.

FORMULA 1: Sky Sports confirms its coverage plans for 2013

Sky Sports F1 will show the Monaco Grand Prix exclusively live next year when the Formula 1 World Championship returns for the 2013 season.

The broadcaster has confirmed its plans for 2013 which will include live coverage of every practice session, qualifying session and race from each grand prix weekend with 10 of them exclusively live.

Every race will be screened on the dedicated Formula 1 channel Sky Sports F1 HD, which made its debut during the 2012 season.

FORMULA 1: Sky Sports wins FIA award in debut season of F1 coverage

Sky Sports has been awarded the ‘Best TV Broadcast Award for Outstanding Coverage’ following the debut season of its dedicated Formula 1 channel.

The award was presented to Sky Sports F1 by FOM chairman Bernie Ecclestone at the 2012 FIA Prize Giving Ceremony in Istanbul on Friday, December 7, where the FIA World Championship presentations were also made.

MOTORSPORT: ‘Britain’s Next F1 Star’ – New series on Sky Sports F1

Rising British motorsport prospects will be profiled in a new six-part series to be shown on Sky Sports F1, starting on October 7.

Entitled ‘Britain’s Next F1 Star’, the documentaries will take an in-depth look at the next generation of British drivers who are attempting to reach the pinnacle of motorsport.

The six drivers featured – Seb Morris, Jordan King, Josh Hill, Alice Powell, Dean Smith and Alex Brundle – are all already working their way up the racing ladder, and Sky Sports F1 has been given unprecedented access to the drivers and their families.
