RUGBY UNION: BBC to screen England’s two summer tests against Argentina

The BBC has secured the rights to broadcast England’s two Tests against Argentina in June.

Stuart Lancaster’s team travel to South America, minus their British & Irish Lions contingent, for what will be their first two-match series against the Pumas in Argentina since 1997.

BBC commentator Brian Moore, who is covering the forthcoming Lions Tour with talkSPORT, confirmed that the corporation had picked up the rights to screen the tw0-test series from the Argentine rugby board UAR.

RUGBY UNION: Sky Sports to screen Ireland, France and Italy Autumn Internationals from 2014

Sky Sports has been awarded the rights to screen all of Ireland, France and Italy’s Autumn Internationals exclusively live from 2014.

The trio of four-year agreements will more than double Sky’s live offering of international test matches, joining its existing long-term deal with the RFU for England’s QBE Internationals.

The new deal ends the BBC’s long association with Irish international rugby outside the Six Nations, but the corporation will screen Ireland’s 2013 autumn internationals in the remaining year of its existing contract.

CRICKET: Sky Sports to screen England’s next four tours of the Caribbean

England’s next four cricket tours of the West Indies will be shown exclusively live on Sky Sports as part of a new eight-year deal.

The agreement with the West Indies Cricket Board, beginning in 2013, features all Tests, ODI and Twenty20 international matches played in the region until 2020.

England will next visit the West Indies in 2014, with a further three tours to follow in 2015, 2017 and 2019.

RUGBY UNION: Sky Sports secures exclusive British & Irish Lions rights

Sky Sports has won the exclusive live rights to the British & Irish Lions tour to Australia in 2013.

All three Tests along with seven additional tour matches will be shown live in June and July 2013 on TV, PC, mobile and tablet devices.

The deal extends the relationship between Sky Sports and the British & Irish Lions into its 17th year, and the tour will be the fifth shown exclusively live by the broadcaster since 1997.
