RUGBY UNION: BBC to screen England’s two summer tests against Argentina

The BBC has secured the rights to broadcast England’s two Tests against Argentina in June.

Stuart Lancaster’s team travel to South America, minus their British & Irish Lions contingent, for what will be their first two-match series against the Pumas in Argentina since 1997.

BBC commentator Brian Moore, who is covering the forthcoming Lions Tour with talkSPORT, confirmed that the corporation had picked up the rights to screen the tw0-test series from the Argentine rugby board UAR.

TENNIS: Davis Cup – Great Britain v Russia – Live online via LTA website

Great Britain’s Davis Cup team face their biggest test of recent years as they take on a highly-experienced Russian team this weekend.

Captain Leon Smith leads the GB side out for their Euro/Africa Zone Group I second round tie at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena, with a place in the top tier World Group play-offs at stake.

As no UK broadcaster has picked up the rights to screen the tie, fans can watch live coverage of all three days online via the LTA website.

POOL: Mosconi Cup 2012 – Live on Sky Sports

Nine-ball pool’s transatlantic rivalry is renewed as Team Europe meet the United States in the 19th staging of the PartyPoker.com Mosconi Cup, with all four days live on Sky Sports.

FOOTBALL: BT claims more live football rights

BT has added more premium live sport to its portfolio by signing deals with a number of international football leagues.

The telecoms giant has secured exclusive UK rights to cover a host of world football’s top-flight leagues, including Italy’s Serie A, France’s Ligue 1, Major League Soccer in the United States and Brazil’s Brasileirao.

All four deals will run for multi-year periods starting from the beginning of next season.

LONDON 2012: Olympics Watch – Sunday 12th August

London 2012 reaches its final day of competition, with the remaining 14 of the 302 gold medals set to be decided.

British hopes for success on the last day will come from the concluding men’s boxing finals at the ExCel Arena.

Of the seven men Britain entered into the boxing competition, three qualified for the gold medal bouts of their respective weight classes, and today will see Freddie Evans compete in the welterweight division and Anthony Joshua in the super heavyweight class.
