Swimming’s golden girl Ellie Simmonds defends the first of her two Paralympic titles on day three of the Games, and Lee Pearson could win his 10th equestrian gold medal when he competes in the individual 1b test.

The golden girl of entire ParalympicsGB squad in Bejing four years ago, Simmonds will look to hold on to her S6 400m freestyle title and claim another Paralympic gold medal for Great Britain at 5.50pm.

LONDON 2012: Paralympics Watch – Day 2

Three more sports begin their Paralympic competitions on the second day of the London Games, including the start of the athletics programme inside the Olympic Stadium.

Double world champion ‘Hurricane’ Hannah Cockroft (above) will battle for gold in the T34 100m wheelchair race; while in the Velodrome, Jody Cundy and Jon-Allan Butterworth go head-to-head in the newly-combined C4/5 1km time trial.

LONDON 2012: Paralympics Watch – Day 1

The London 2012 Paralympic Games burst into life with several British medal hopes in action on the opening day of competition.

Cyclist Sarah Storey kicks off the action as she goes for the first of four possible golds in the individual C5 pursuit, and European champion Ben Quilter is one of Britain’s best hopes of a judo gold.
