The eight best teams in international one-day cricket compete for the last-ever ICC Champions Trophy this summer with all the action only on Sky Sports.

CRICKET: England v New Zealand – Live on Sky Sports, Highlights on Channel 5

England get a mouth-watering summer of cricket underway in May as they welcome New Zealand for two tests, three ODIs and two T20 internationals.

CRICKET: New Zealand v England – Live on Sky Sports

CRICKET: Sky Sports announces 2013 County Cricket coverage

Sky Sports has confirmed its bumper live schedule of live English county cricket for the 2013 season.

They will show each county at least three times during the summer, with 60 live fixtures from the Yorkshire Bank 40, LV=County Championship and Friends Life t20.

In addition, Sky cameras will be at Essex when they host the England team for their Ashes warm-up match in preparation for their summer clashes against the Australians.

CRICKET: ICC Women’s World Cup 2013 – Live on Sky Sports

A colossal year for women’s cricket begins on January 31 when the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup gets underway, exclusively live on Sky Sports.

Sky Sports will show live games throughout the competition as Charlotte Edwards’ team, currently the highest ranked nation in women’s one-day cricket, aim to defend the title they won in Sydney four years ago.

There will also be live commentary of every England match, plus the final in Mumbai February 17, on BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra and Radio 4 Long Wave.

CRICKET: Christopher Martin-Jenkins – 1945-2013

BBC Test Match Special commentator Christopher Martin-Jenkins has died of cancer at the age of 67.

Affectionately known by colleagues and listeners as ‘CMJ’, he was one of cricket’s most distinguished and authoritative journalists and broadcasters for over 40 years as well as a former president of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).

Described by the current TMS producer Adam Mountford as “one of the voices of the English summer”, Martin-Jenkins was diagnosed with cancer in January 2012, shortly after returning from commentating duties on England’s series against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates.

In a statement his family said: “Christopher died peacefully at home this morning after his brave resistance to cancer.

CRICKET: Tony Greig – 1946-2012

Former England captain and popular television commentator Tony Greig has died aged 66 after suffering a heart attack in Sydney.

A much-loved voice of the game across the world, he played 58 Tests for England from 1972 to 1977, including 14 as skipper, before relinquishing the captaincy to join up with Australian media mogul Kerry Packer’s breakaway World Series.

After retiring from the game, Greig went on to become one of the popular and distinctive voices in cricket television commentary, working primarily for Australian network Channel Nine on their coverage of home Tests and limited overs matches for more than 30 years.

CRICKET: Caribbean Twenty20 2013 – Live on ESPN

ESPN is to bring cricket fans full coverage of the Caribbean Twenty20 – the annual T20 cricket tournament in the region – for the third successive year.

The fourth edition of the tournament is set to feature some of the top players in the world, including those that help guide the West Indies to their first T20 World Cup title in Sri Lanka back in October.

ESPN will broadcast live or as-live coverage of every game from two-week tournament beginning on Sunday, January 6, through to the final in St Lucia on Sunday, January 20.

CRICKET: Sky Sports to screen England’s next four tours of the Caribbean

England’s next four cricket tours of the West Indies will be shown exclusively live on Sky Sports as part of a new eight-year deal.

The agreement with the West Indies Cricket Board, beginning in 2013, features all Tests, ODI and Twenty20 international matches played in the region until 2020.

England will next visit the West Indies in 2014, with a further three tours to follow in 2015, 2017 and 2019.
